Twilight Romance: Flash Marriage to Mature Tycoon – Episode 52

The claimant stared at the matching company address until anger replaced hope. Summer had approached him with documents, photographs, and a story explaining the absence of a father he never knew. He had wanted the story to be true badly enough to overlook its convenient timing.

Jocelyn understood the vulnerability without excusing the lawsuit. She had spent years wanting Harry to choose her, Ray to tell the truth, and family to become safe. Longing could make manufactured answers feel merciful.

She encouraged the claimant to preserve every message and obtain separate counsel. He feared Summer would stop paying if he questioned her. Jocelyn replied that representation purchased by the opposing manipulator was not protection.

Ray joined them only after Jocelyn invited him. He offered access to a legal-aid list rather than an Astor attorney. The claimant selected a nonprofit lawyer with no connection to either family.

Summer learned of the defection by morning. She told reporters Ray had bribed the man into abandoning his heritage. The claimant answered through counsel that he remained committed to the DNA test but would no longer coordinate with her.

The statement changed the public narrative. What Summer presented as a moral crusade now looked like another carefully financed intrusion into Jocelyn’s life. Her attorney withdrew from the property case without explanation.

Forensic experts examined the handwritten agreement. The paper contained whitening agents unavailable when Jocelyn’s father supposedly signed it, and the ink matched supplies recovered from Wendy’s rented cottage. The ownership claim began collapsing.

The birth certificate required more time. Its registry number belonged to a real record, but the father’s name had been altered in a later digital copy. Someone with access to archived public records had created a convincing hybrid.

Harry struggled with conflicting emotions. He knew the evidence pointed to fraud, yet part of him had imagined a brother who shared the unanswered questions of growing up without a father. Losing a false possibility still felt like loss.

Jocelyn let him grieve without telling him he should feel relieved. The claimant had also been used, and Harry’s compassion for him did not threaten the family he already possessed.

They met at the community house without cameras. The two men compared the photographs Summer had supplied. Several images of Harry’s father had been reversed, cropped, or paired with captions written decades later.

The claimant produced one genuine photograph of his mother beside an unidentified man. The face was partly obscured and resembled Harry’s father only in build. Summer’s service had declared a match without professional analysis.

Ray asked what the claimant wanted if the DNA result disproved the relationship. He answered that he wanted the people who sold him a father held accountable. Property no longer mattered.

Jocelyn respected the shift. Choosing truth after investing hope required courage. She invited him to the food program lunch as a guest, not a relative, and made clear the invitation carried no legal meaning.

Summer arrived during lunch despite a request to stay away. She accused the claimant of betraying his own mother’s memory for Astor money. He asked why the genealogy service shared an address with her property company.

Summer claimed administrative convenience. Ray pointed out that the service had no license, employees, or clients beyond this case. Her composure thinned.

The sheriff served her with a warrant for records related to forgery and attempted fraud. Summer refused to unlock her phone, but officers seized it under the order. She left promising that the DNA result would vindicate her.

That afternoon, the laboratory requested a second sample from the claimant. The first contained contamination suggesting contact with genetic material from another person. Someone had tampered with the collection kit before sealing.

Chain-of-custody footage showed every handler except one court courier. The courier had disappeared after delivering the samples. Police traced his last payment to an account controlled by Summer’s shell company.

The court ordered an immediate supervised retest. As Harry prepared to provide a new sample, the claimant admitted Summer had given him a toothbrush she claimed belonged to Harry’s father. If used for comparison, the planted DNA could manufacture the sibling match she needed.
