I Have Five Kick-Ass Brothers – Episode 56

The bank’s camera showed a woman presenting Coco’s genuine identification and fingerprint authorization. Unlike the airport actors, she wore no obvious disguise. From a distance, she looked enough like Coco to confuse anyone who knew her only through photographs.

Coco viewed the footage under supervision and identified the woman as Tricia Vale, the actress previously hired to impersonate Raina. Tricia had cooperated with investigators and was believed to be rebuilding her life away from Brookfield.

Police located Tricia at home. She denied visiting the bank and produced security footage from her apartment building covering the entire afternoon. Someone had now imitated an actress who once imitated Raina.

The layers of borrowed identity seemed designed to exhaust investigators. Luke compared facial measurements and found the bank visitor was not Tricia, Coco, or Maya. She used prosthetics modeled from all three women.

The fingerprint authorization was more troubling. The bank used a live scan, making a printed copy insufficient. Grace’s archive revealed a silicone technique developed by Zoey’s network from stolen biometric molds.

The second vault had been created by Walter under Coco’s Lincoln identity. Its contents were unknown, but the grandmother’s indexing notes suggested she discovered it shortly before her death.

The impostor removed one metal box and left everything else untouched. A hidden inventory described the box as containing “guardian agreements” signed during Coco’s childhood.

Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln remembered no guardian agreements. Victor had managed security and travel permissions, but never possessed legal custody. Any such papers were likely forged or obtained through misleading signatures.

Coco recalled being taken to a notary when she was twelve. Victor told her the documents allowed him to accompany her during an overseas school trip. She signed where he pointed without reading.

The agreement may have named Victor as emergency guardian and granted access to accounts created for the Lincoln daughter. Once DNA proved Coco was not that daughter, the authority should have ended, but the stolen box could contain original signatures reusable in new fraud.

Traffic cameras followed the bank impostor to a bridal boutique. She delivered the box to a woman using Grace Davenport’s name, then disappeared through a rear exit.

The boutique had received an anonymous order for six bridesmaid dresses and one bridal gown. Measurements matched Raina, Coco, Renee Moore, Maya, Tricia, and the unknown impostor. The pattern linked every woman whose identity had been entangled with Theo.

Raina refused to let the wedding become another trap. She and Theo postponed public planning without canceling their engagement. Private commitment did not require announcing a date while evidence remained loose.

Henry discovered the boutique order came through a film-production account. Its current owner was Grace Davenport, the same alias used by the recruiter but now registered to a legitimate actress named Grace Davenport.

The real Grace had no connection to the hospital administrator. Her name had been stolen for years, explaining why false casting calls survived superficial checks. She agreed to meet investigators and clear her identity.

At the meeting, Grace identified the bank impostor as Zoey’s sister, Zoey Grant. The similar names had caused confusion in production databases, and both women once worked in makeup and identity effects.

Zoey Grant had vanished after accusing her sister of selling client biometrics. She may have been helping the network, pursuing revenge, or trying to recover evidence from it.

Luke traced the boutique payment to a storage facility rented by Zoey Grant. Police found the missing metal box unopened inside, along with a note addressed to Coco.

The note said Zoey Grant removed the box before Grace’s remaining accomplices could reach it. She wanted immunity in exchange for revealing how Victor used Coco’s childhood signatures.

Her final line warned that the forged guardian agreement had already been filed in family court, naming Victor’s estate as legal owner of everything Coco inherited from the Lincolns.
