Falling for My Ex’s Mafia Dad — Episode 69

The state helicopter could not launch in the worsening storm. Lorenzo’s pilot used the narrow weather window to reach the airfield, but freezing rain made international departure impossible. The delay gave Fay one chance.

Ivan knew the facility’s underground fuel tunnels from earlier Kozlov negotiations. He guided the team through a maintenance entrance while Daniel coordinated roadblocks from the operations van.

Fay remained behind the tactical line until officers secured the first hangar. She had learned that bravery did not require standing where trained people needed clear space.

Inside the second hangar, Lorenzo held Victoria beside a private jet. Her wrists were free, but a guard kept a gun against her back. Years of captivity had made her thin without erasing the defiance in her eyes.

Mother and daughter saw each other across the concrete. Recognition was immediate and incomplete—a bond carried in photographs, voices, and unanswered absence rather than memory.

Lorenzo demanded safe passage in exchange for Victoria and the original ledger. He claimed the ledger could clear Kent of fabricated murders while proving enough real crimes to imprison him for life.

Fay asked Victoria whether the claim was true. Her mother said the ledger documented Kent’s crimes, Grant’s corruption, Ilya’s double role, and Lorenzo’s order to expose Elise’s safe house. No man in the story remained innocent.

Ivan stepped into view. Lorenzo appealed to their alliance and reminded him Kent killed Ilya. Ivan answered that revenge built from lies belonged to the liar who designed it.

The guard shifted toward Ivan. Victoria used the distraction to drive her elbow backward. The gun fired into the ceiling as state officers advanced.

Lorenzo pulled a second weapon and aimed at Fay. Ivan moved between them, taking a bullet through the shoulder. Officers shot the guard and forced Lorenzo behind the jet.

Fay reached Victoria while paramedics treated Ivan. Her mother touched her face with trembling hands and apologized for every year absence had stolen.

There was no time for reunion. Lorenzo had escaped through the pilot entrance with the original ledger. The storm grounded the jet but provided darkness across the surrounding fields.

Daniel reported that federal agents were simultaneously raiding the Lippert estate. The warrant alleged Kent continued directing criminal activity from detention and that Fay coordinated obstruction.

The timing revealed Lorenzo’s final plan. While every independent investigator chased Victoria, his allies would plant or seize evidence at the unprotected estate.

Fay called the household and ordered staff not to resist. Cameras streamed to Mara’s servers, documenting every agent who entered and every box removed.

One team bypassed the rooms listed in the warrant and went directly to Kent’s hidden armory. They recovered a rifle matched to Grant’s staged shooting—although the weapon had never appeared during previous searches.

Mara protested the obvious plant. The lead agent produced a chain-of-custody form claiming Daniel surrendered the rifle voluntarily that morning.

Daniel was beside Fay’s operations van, making the signature impossible. Yet the forged form carried his biometric verification, likely copied from the fake engagement contracts.

Victoria said Lorenzo maintained a device capable of reproducing Alden and Lippert digital credentials. He had used it for years to authorize crimes beneath other men’s names.

Before she could identify the device’s location, the detention center called: the new rifle evidence had triggered an emergency transfer, and Kent had disappeared between facilities.
