Reborn to Love Mr. Right – Episode 61

Iteration Zero’s final accusation followed Arianna home from the abandoned laboratory. The blood on the older woman’s wedding dress looked real, and the certainty in her voice made suspicion feel like memory.

Hayden did not ask Arianna to dismiss it. He submitted to medical scans and agreed to keep distance if she needed it. His willingness to accept scrutiny mattered more than a promise that he had never harmed her.

Arianna refused separation based on an edited message. They had learned too often that an image could reveal danger while hiding context. She wanted the laboratory examined before either of them treated accusation as fact.

Federal technicians mapped the powerless equipment. One mechanical camera had recorded every activation on silver film rather than digital storage. Hundreds of reels remained locked beneath the central case.

The first developed frames showed adult Arianna entering the chamber in a wedding dress. Hayden followed, carrying both master keys. No blood appeared until several minutes later.

A missing section interrupted the sequence. When the film resumed, Arianna lay against the console while Hayden restrained her wrists. The scene matched Iteration Zero’s claim without explaining what happened between.

Donald recognized the dress as a Taylor family design Arianna’s mother once commissioned. It had never been completed in the present timeline. Its presence confirmed the footage came from a future branch.

Hayden touched the edge of one photograph and staggered. A memory surfaced of Arianna asking him to lock the chamber while alarms sounded outside. The fragment ended before he could understand why.

Doctors identified the same neural frequency that affected Donald and Derek. The laboratory was triggering Hayden’s archived identity as Scott Guardian. Continued exposure might restore memories without his consent.

Arianna asked him to leave the site. Hayden agreed, though frustration tightened his expression. “I don’t want ignorance to become innocence,” he said. If he had hurt her, he wanted the truth.

Investigators searched the film canisters and found one labeled Consent Session. Its reel had been removed recently, despite dust proving the compartment stayed closed for years.

Only four people knew about the laboratory before police arrived: Arianna, Hayden, Donald, and the officers who secured it. The removal occurred earlier, suggesting Arianna’s mother hid the reel elsewhere.

A handwritten index referenced a chapel archive on the Taylor estate. Donald remembered a small family chapel demolished when Arianna was a child. Its records had moved into mansion storage before the eastern-wing fire.

Firefighters had rescued several unlabeled boxes from that wing. Inside one, Arianna found a metal film case wrapped in her mother’s wedding veil. The seal bore both master-key symbols.

The reel began with Iteration Zero seated alone. She said Hayden had refused to activate another reset because each attempt erased part of Arianna’s identity. She intended to force the chamber without him.

Her recorded statement called his refusal betrayal. She believed love required him to accept any risk if it could restore Donald and undo Victor’s rise. Grief had made control look like devotion from the opposite direction.

The recording stopped before Hayden entered. A second reel was required to show whether she changed her mind or he used force. That reel remained missing.

Iteration Zero appeared on the laboratory monitor despite its disconnection. She told Arianna the missing footage had been destroyed because Hayden could not survive the full truth.

Arianna answered through the mechanical intercom. “Then you won’t object if I keep looking.” The older woman’s expression shifted from sorrow to anger.

Across town, Hayden collapsed during his medical scan. When he woke, he remembered holding a blade covered in Arianna’s blood.
