Falling for My Ex’s Mafia Dad — Episode 87

Fay entered the hospital through a private clinic entrance with Kent beside her under court approval. The obstetrician repeated blood tests and performed an ultrasound while both waited through unbearable silence.

The baby’s heartbeat remained strong. Fay had developed elevated blood pressure and needed reduced stress, medication monitoring, and genuine rest rather than another promise to slow down after the next crisis.

Kent immediately tried to remove every responsibility from her. Fay stopped him. Medical limits belonged in conversation with her doctor, not in a decree shaped by his fear.

They created a plan together. Mara would lead the legal case, Daniel the trust transition, and Victoria the clinic board. Fay retained final decisions affecting her body and child.

Rest felt more difficult than confrontation. At the apartment, Fay heard meetings through closed doors and fought the belief that indispensability measured worth.

Victoria stayed with her. She confessed that refusing help had made her easier for Lorenzo to isolate; by the time she needed allies, he had convinced her none could be trusted.

Fay allowed Janeen and David to organize meals, Colin to handle clinic messages, and Kent to track medication only through reminders she could disable.

Delegation did not make her powerless. It revealed whether the systems she built could survive without her constant presence.

Meanwhile, Lorenzo’s preliminary hearing began under heavy security. The warden, attorney, Sofia, Victoria, and Ivan were prepared to testify.

Daniel attended for the trust. Lorenzo saw the leaked footage of Colin and mocked his son’s openness as the end of Lippert succession.

Daniel said succession was already ending. Neither he nor Fay’s child would inherit the criminal organizations. The future Lorenzo tried to control would refuse him entirely.

During recess, Lorenzo overpowered a guard using a blade hidden inside his medical brace. The injury from Daniel’s earlier shot had become the means of escape.

He entered the witness room and took Victoria hostage. Daniel followed before officers sealed the corridor.

Lorenzo demanded the authentic ledger and a route out. Victoria told him every copy was already in court custody; killing her could not recover control.

He turned the weapon toward Daniel. Victoria moved between them, refusing to let another child pay for Lorenzo’s fear.

Daniel saw the guard’s fallen knife within reach. He picked it up when Lorenzo lunged and drove it into his biological uncle’s chest.

The act stopped the attack. Lorenzo fell against the witness table, staring at Daniel with disbelief that the gentle heir had become the person who ended him.

Daniel called for medics and applied pressure despite knowing the wound was fatal. He would not turn necessity into cruelty.

Lorenzo died before the ambulance arrived. His final word was Fay’s name, spoken as possession rather than apology.

When Daniel called the apartment, Fay understood from his silence. Her father was dead, Victoria was alive, and the brother she chose carried blood on his hands for both of them.
