Falling for My Ex’s Mafia Dad — Episode 86

Daniel wanted to surrender himself immediately. Fay reminded him that panic had already allowed Colin to become leverage once. Love required a plan capable of bringing him home alive.

The captain demanded access codes for Lorenzo’s courthouse transport. Daniel possessed none, but captains believed Kent had transferred operational authority to his son.

Kent offered to fake the codes. His electronic monitoring prevented him from joining the rescue, forcing him to trust Daniel and lawful teams beyond the apartment.

Fay stayed with Kent because the kidnappers might attack her during the diversion. Pregnancy did not exclude her from strategy, but it changed which risks produced useful outcomes.

Ivan analyzed the ransom call from protective custody. A freight horn placed Colin near the eastern rail yard, while electrical interference matched an abandoned cold-storage complex.

State police surrounded the area without entering. The captain threatened to kill Colin if he saw official vehicles, so Daniel approached alone wearing a transmitter.

He carried forged transport codes built to trigger an alert when used. The captain verified the format but demanded a live demonstration against the courthouse system.

Daniel entered the code. Instead of opening Lorenzo’s route, it locked every transport credential connected to the Alden case.

The captain realized the deception and struck Colin. Daniel attacked before the gun aligned, turning the exchange into a fight neither man could control.

Colin broke his restraints against a damaged pipe and triggered the emergency sprinkler. Water revealed laser trip lines protecting the exits.

State officers entered through the roof, avoiding the traps. The captain dragged Daniel toward a loading platform and declared Kent’s son too weak to inherit anything.

Daniel answered that refusing an empire was not weakness. He drove both of them to the ground as officers fired a disabling shot.

Colin reached him first. Their embrace was captured on police cameras and later leaked, making Daniel’s relationship public beyond any possibility of denial.

Daniel saw the footage online before leaving the scene. Years of fear became irrelevant in a single upload.

Kent called him. Daniel expected apology or strategy. His father said only that Colin was welcome beside him wherever cameras gathered.

The public response divided Mafia circles but strengthened ordinary support for Daniel. Employees cared more that he rejected violence and protected legitimate companies than whom he loved.

The captured captain revealed Lorenzo’s loyalists had planted explosives beneath the courthouse route. Locking the credentials stopped transport and prevented the attack.

Lorenzo remained in secure custody. His rescue network was collapsing as captains chose plea agreements over a leader unable to pay them.

Colin asked Daniel whether they could leave the city after testifying. Daniel said yes, then realized the answer contained no guilt.

As they prepared to go, Fay’s doctor called with abnormal bloodwork requiring immediate evaluation—and warned that stress might be threatening the pregnancy.
