Falling for My Ex’s Mafia Dad — Episode 83

Kent could not leave the trust residence without violating bail. Lorenzo understood the electronic boundary and turned court supervision into a cage.

Fay told the monitoring officer to authorize emergency evacuation. The officer hesitated until Mara transmitted evidence of the intrusion and obtained verbal approval from the judge.

Inside, Lorenzo held Kent at gunpoint near the disabled window. He demanded access to the Lippert trust and a recorded statement recognizing Fay’s child as Alden property.

Kent refused the language before negotiating his own safety. He said no document could bind Fay or the baby, and his signature would not create the illusion.

Lorenzo struck him with the weapon. Kent did not retaliate while cameras remained disabled; any violence could revoke bail and separate him from Fay permanently.

Fay arrived with state police but stayed behind cover. She called Lorenzo directly, offering herself as the person he actually wanted.

Kent shouted not to enter. Fay answered that conversation was not surrender. She kept Lorenzo focused on the phone while officers accessed a maintenance corridor.

Lorenzo accused her of choosing a murderer over her father. Fay said Kent admitted what he had done, while Lorenzo called ownership love and lies protection.

The comparison enraged him. He moved toward the balcony to see whether Fay stood outside, exposing himself to the maintenance doorway.

Kent lunged only when an officer entered. The gun fired into the ceiling, and the two dons crashed through a glass table.

Lorenzo recovered first and aimed at Kent’s chest. Daniel, arriving through the rear entrance, shot him in the shoulder.

The wound was not fatal. Officers arrested Lorenzo while Daniel lowered the weapon with shaking hands. He had acted to stop an immediate threat, but taking aim at a man changed him.

Colin reached Daniel and held him while investigators secured the scene. Kent thanked his son, then told him survival did not require pretending the act carried no emotional cost.

Fay entered after officers cleared the room. She checked Kent’s injuries and felt the baby move—or perhaps merely the flutter of her own frightened muscles.

Lorenzo smiled through the pain as paramedics lifted him. He said Daniel had finally become the heir Kent wanted: a man willing to shoot for family.

Daniel rejected the verdict. One defensive shot did not define his identity, and Lorenzo would not narrate it into inheritance.

Mara obtained revocation-proof detention for Lorenzo in a state facility outside his medical network. No Alden contractor would control food, transport, or credentials.

Kent’s bail survived because the emergency evacuation had been approved. Still, prosecutors argued the residence was unsafe and requested renewed custody.

Fay offered her own apartment under court security. The judge scheduled an immediate hearing to decide whether Kent returned to jail.

Before the hearing began, Lorenzo’s attorney released a recording of Kent confessing to Ilya’s killing—edited to remove every reference to the weapon or Grant’s corruption.
