Twilight Romance: Flash Marriage to Mature Tycoon – Episode 26

Harry’s words emptied the boardroom of every other concern. Caleb had vanished from the licensed sitter’s home less than twenty minutes earlier. The sitter had answered the door to a woman carrying valid custody documents, and by the time Harry arrived, both she and the baby were gone.

Jocelyn asked the question everyone else avoided: was the woman Stacy? Harry confirmed it. As Caleb’s mother, she had legal rights unless a court order restricted them. The disappearance was not technically kidnapping, but Stacy had turned off her phone and taken none of the baby’s medicine.

Ray ordered his security team to locate her vehicle while Jocelyn called every place Stacy might go. Summer watched from the boardroom doorway with a satisfaction too subtle for anyone except Jocelyn to notice. Her final warning had not been a prediction.

“You knew,” Jocelyn said. Summer denied involvement and suggested Stacy simply wanted her child back. Jocelyn crossed the room until only inches separated them. “If Caleb is harmed, no trust or fortune will protect the person who helped her.”

Summer’s composure cracked. She insisted the baby was safe and immediately realized she had revealed too much. Ray demanded the location. Summer replied that Stacy would contact them when Harry was ready to negotiate.

Harry arrived breathless and furious. He accused Summer of using his son to punish Jocelyn. Summer claimed she had merely introduced Stacy to a family attorney and arranged somewhere private for them to talk. She refused to disclose the address without Stacy’s consent.

Ray told security to detain Summer within the building until police arrived. She reminded him that unlawful restraint would create another scandal. He answered that she was free to leave with the officers waiting downstairs.

Jocelyn forced herself to think beyond panic. Stacy disliked discomfort, required luxury, and would choose a place connected to status. She also depended on her parents, but Tony’s properties were being watched. Summer must have provided an Astor-related location the security system would not flag.

Violet remembered a lakeside guesthouse Summer had once used during the marriage. It remained inside the disputed trust and had not appeared on Ray’s current property list. His team searched the address and found Stacy’s car hidden in the garage.

Harry wanted to rush there. Ray warned that frightening Stacy could endanger Caleb, especially if she felt cornered. Jocelyn volunteered to approach first because Stacy still believed she could manipulate her maternal guilt.

The drive to the lake felt endless. Jocelyn sat beside Ray while Harry followed with police. Ray promised that Caleb would come home. She said promises were not required; presence was enough.

At the guesthouse, Jocelyn went to the door alone. Stacy appeared at an upstairs window holding the baby. She looked exhausted rather than triumphant, and Caleb’s cries carried through the glass.

Jocelyn called that she had brought the correct formula and medicine. Stacy accused everyone of stealing her husband, child, and family. Jocelyn replied that Caleb was not an award to be won in an argument.

After several minutes, the door opened. Stacy allowed Jocelyn inside but locked it behind her. She had expected Summer’s attorneys to force Harry into returning; instead, Summer had stopped answering once the board vote ended.

Caleb was feverish from crying. Jocelyn prepared his medicine while quietly assessing the room. Stacy watched her soothe him and whispered that motherhood seemed effortless only for women who wanted to make her look bad.

Jocelyn said no good mother found it effortless. Love was not perfection; it was choosing the child’s needs while frightened, tired, and ashamed. Stacy’s face crumpled, exposing the insecurity beneath years of cruelty.

Outside, Ray waited despite every instinct urging him through the door. Trusting Jocelyn’s judgment was part of loving her. Harry stood beside him, learning the same lesson.

Stacy finally let Jocelyn unlock the entrance. Harry took Caleb and immediately called a doctor. He told Stacy she could accompany them but could not disappear with the baby again.

Police escorted Stacy to a separate car for questioning. As she passed Summer, who had arrived with attorneys, she shouted that Summer had promised Harry would come crawling back. Cameras captured the accusation.

Summer’s lawyers moved around her, but Ray stepped close enough for only her to hear. “You threatened a child to win a board vote,” he said. “Now I will make certain you never hold power over my family again.”
