Pregnant and Spoiled by the Billionaire – Episode 34

Amelia read the forged note once before closing the message. The language imitated medical caution but converted a complex consultation into a cruel accusation. Her doctors had explained risks and options; none had called her decision financial or demanded a particular outcome.

The authentic portions of the file made the fabrication harder to expose. Bloodwork, scan measurements, and private counseling notes surrounded the lie, lending it borrowed credibility. Even the forged signature resembled the specialist’s electronic mark. Reporters began calling before dawn, asking whether Amelia had endangered five babies for inheritance. Some phrased the accusation as a question, using punctuation to disguise repetition of a deliberate falsehood.

Leo wanted every device turned off. Amelia agreed to silence notifications but refused ignorance. She asked Derek to compile verified developments twice a day so fear would not drive her to search continuously through abuse.

Her specialist issued a statement confirming the note was false and emphasizing that medical decisions belonged to the patient. The clinic also acknowledged its security failure and offered independent forensic access. Amelia appreciated the accountability even though it could not restore privacy.

Regina claimed the forged page came directly from Ian Wallis’s attorney. Ian denied creating it and blamed an overzealous consultant. Their alliance began collapsing as each tried to avoid the criminal consequences of the release.

Federal regulators froze the fund connected to Ian’s short trades. Wallis Enterprises stock fell further, and creditors demanded immediate repayment. The scheme designed to force Leo’s investment instead accelerated the company’s collapse.

That victory offered Amelia little comfort when photographers surrounded the penthouse. Drones hovered beyond the windows, hoping to capture her reaction, while camera crews occupied sidewalks used by other residents. Security blocked the signals and arranged safe passage for neighbors, but the constant mechanical hum made home feel exposed. Amelia avoided the glass walls that once gave Leo peace and began measuring rooms by how well their curtains closed.

Matilda invited Amelia to stay at the country estate after the doctors approved the move. This time, Amelia accepted. The decision came from medical need and her own exhaustion, not an order disguised as care.

Leo joined her for the drive while Derek remained in the city. Neither pretended relocation solved the larger conflict. They traveled without the usual Preston motorcade, using security designed to avoid spectacle rather than announce wealth. As buildings gave way to open fields, Amelia felt her shoulders release for the first time in days.

The estate’s guest wing had been converted for high-risk prenatal care. Equipment stood discreetly behind wooden cabinets, and a nurse occupied a nearby suite without intruding. A downstairs sitting room became a classroom and office so Amelia would not need stairs during difficult days. Matilda had learned that spoiling someone could mean preparing carefully and then stepping back, allowing gratitude without demanding obedience.

Amelia resumed classes online. Her professors adjusted deadlines, but she insisted on completing the same academic work as her classmates. She joined seminars with her camera on when energy allowed, refusing to let tabloid images become the only version of her face people saw. Pregnancy had changed the route to graduation, not the destination, and accommodation did not make her achievement less earned.

Leo divided his time between the estate and Preston Group. He returned each evening with board updates only when Amelia asked. Their relationship grew quieter under pressure, built through shared meals, medication schedules, and five names they still could not agree upon.

One afternoon, a formal offer arrived from a streaming company. It promised millions for exclusive access to the pregnancy, birth, and first year of the quintuplets’ lives. The proposal framed surveillance as a chance for Amelia to control the narrative.

She rejected it immediately. Selling authorized images would not undo the violation of stolen ones. Leo supported her decision, though the contract could have funded the student center for decades.

The company contacted Claire next, offering enough money to secure her education and independent housing. The contract required childhood stories, hospital details, and commentary on whether Amelia deserved Leo. Claire brought the message to Amelia rather than hiding it. Temptation embarrassed her, but honesty proved how much recovery had changed her. She admitted that financial fear still made exploitation look briefly like opportunity.

Amelia did not shame her sister for considering the offer. She explained that the babies could not consent to becoming entertainment. Claire deleted the message and forwarded it to the attorneys as evidence of continued commercial pressure.

Derek called with progress in the criminal case. Investigators found drafts of the forged note on a Wallis Enterprises server and payments to Regina’s scandal site. Ian could no longer distance himself from the release.

Leo expected the board to support immediate action against Wallis. Instead, three directors proposed buying the failing company at a discount, arguing that scandal created opportunity. The suggestion would make Preston Group profit from the same abuse it publicly condemned.

He refused, placing ethics above an acquisition analysts considered irresistible. The directors responded by calling for a vote on whether Leo’s judgment had become compromised by his personal life.

When Leo told Amelia, she understood the consequence before he softened it. Protecting her privacy might cost him control of the company he had built. The board vote was scheduled for forty-eight hours later—and Ian Wallis controlled enough allied shares to decide the outcome.
