I’m In Love With My Brother’s Best Friend?! – Episode 33

Inside the bedroom, quiet replaced every argument that had carried them there. Cole asked once more whether Kaitlyn wanted to continue. She answered without hesitation.

He listened to her pace, pausing whenever uncertainty crossed her face. Kaitlyn never felt powerless. Every touch remained a question she was free to answer.

The experience was not the polished fantasy she had imagined as a teenager. It was warmer and more human, filled with nervous laughter, tenderness, and trust.

Kaitlyn understood why waiting mattered. She was not surrendering something Brent had failed to obtain. She was sharing a choice with someone who honored it.

Cole treated the moment without triumph. Becoming her first lover felt like receiving something fragile, not winning it. He wanted her to remember care rather than pain.

When she asked him not to stop, he believed her. When she needed him to slow, he did. Their honesty made inexperience something they navigated together.

For Cole, the boundary changed more than their bodies. He could never again pretend his feelings were protective affection inherited from Ryan. Kaitlyn had become central to his future.

Afterward, she lay against his chest and listened to his heartbeat settle. The years of wanting him had led to something quieter and more profound than fantasy.

She could hardly believe she had lost her virginity to her brother’s best friend. The scandalous description was true, yet it failed to capture the tenderness of what happened.

Cole asked whether she regretted it. Kaitlyn told him it had always been him. Even when she dated Brent, some hidden part of her heart remembered the boy on the swing.

She hoped Cole felt the same. His arms tightened around her, but before he could answer, a voice sounded from the apartment entrance.

“Cole? Katie? I’m home.” Ryan’s cheerful call shattered the private peace. Kaitlyn sat upright, clutching the sheet.

Her brother was supposed to be in London. There had been no warning, no time to prepare, and no innocent explanation for Cole in her bed.

Cole moved with immediate panic. His best friend could not see him naked beside Kaitlyn. The trust he feared losing stood only one room away.

Ryan called for him and then for Kaitlyn. His footsteps moved closer. Kaitlyn told Cole he had to hide.

If they ever wanted Ryan’s approval, discovery like this would destroy the possibility. Cole agreed and searched the room for an escape.

There was no time to dress fully or leave through the hallway. Kaitlyn pushed him toward the nearest hiding place while gathering Cole’s shirt around herself.

Ryan knocked and asked whether she was all right. Her voice sounded strained even to her own ears. He announced that he was coming in.

Cole vanished from sight seconds before the handle turned. Kaitlyn climbed beneath the blankets, trying to hide the evidence written across her face and tangled sheets.

The door opened. Ryan stepped inside, delighted to surprise his sister for fall break. Then his smile faded as he took in her appearance—and the unmistakably masculine shirt covering her body.
