How to Tame a Silver Fox – Episode 63

Christina waited outside the courtroom wearing a dark suit and none of the confidence that once made her campus royalty. Testifying against Sebastian meant dismantling the family name that had protected and imprisoned her.

Harper did not promise the experience would make everything better. She simply sat beside Christina until the bailiff opened the doors.

Sebastian watched his daughter take the witness stand with cold disbelief. His attorney portrayed her as a spoiled student seeking revenge after losing access to family money.

Christina admitted every benefit she received from that money. She also admitted humiliating Harper, obeying her father’s order to steal the file, and entering the basement with a gun.

By naming her own wrongdoing before the defense could expose it, she removed Sebastian’s favorite weapon. Shame no longer controlled what she was willing to say.

She authenticated the messages linking him to Sloane, Caldwell, and Cross. Her testimony showed how university donations purchased access to students whose families could be pressured.

Sebastian interrupted, calling her ungrateful. Christina looked directly at him. “You taught me gratitude meant obedience. I don’t believe you anymore.”

Harper recognized the cost of the sentence. Defying a parent could feel like losing a home even when that home had never been safe.

Becca testified next. She confirmed Sebastian threatened her family’s debt and ordered her to help isolate Christina from anyone who questioned him.

The defense tried to make the two young women blame each other. Instead, each accepted her part without allowing Sebastian to disappear behind it.

Financial experts then connected his companies to the attempted transfer into Harper’s name. The same evidence supported conspiracy, money laundering, witness intimidation, and kidnapping charges.

At the end of the day, Sebastian was remanded without bail. The trial would continue, but his control over Christina had ended before any verdict.

Outside, reporters asked whether she considered herself a victim. Christina answered that being harmed did not erase the harm she caused.

She then gave Harper a written apology for the diary incident and offered to accept the university’s disciplinary decision without appeal.

Harper read the first line and folded the letter. “I’ll finish it when I’m ready.”

Christina nodded. The absence of instant forgiveness no longer felt like rejection she needed to punish.

Maria invited both of them to dinner after court. The meal was awkward, interrupted by long silences, and more honest than Harper’s crowded party had ever been.

Chris arrived late from a construction meeting and took the empty seat beside Harper only after she pulled it out for him.

Christina noticed the gesture and raised an eyebrow. “So the grandpa thing is official now?”

Chris almost smiled, but Harper answered first. “Call him that again, and you’re paying for dinner.” For once, the laughter around the table included her rather than targeting her.
