Falling for My Ex’s Mafia Dad — Episode 92

The nursery photograph had been taken inside the house Fay and Kent merely considered buying. Someone had followed their private tour and interpreted interest as ownership.

Police found no intruder at the property, only red paint and a Lippert crest burned into the floor. The message came from loyalists who wanted the unborn child to restore the empire.

Kent blamed himself for allowing captains to treat succession as sacred. Fay said guilt mattered only if it helped identify the structure preserving their belief.

The loyalty fund moved through pension accounts belonging to former guards. Freezing everything would punish families unaware their savings had been used.

Daniel proposed separating legitimate contributions from criminal transfers before seizure. Colin built a database while Mara obtained emergency oversight.

Kent contacted retired employees through recorded calls. He explained that the organization was ending and promised lawful pensions through the restitution trust.

Most accepted. A small faction denounced him as weak and pledged loyalty to the unborn “heir,” proving the threat was ideological rather than merely financial.

Victoria recognized the language from Lorenzo’s registries. Alden and Lippert loyalists had merged after both organizations collapsed, united by the fantasy of controlling Fay’s child.

Their leader called himself the Steward. Ivan, contacted through counsel, identified him as Carlo Vescari, the armory director who moved the fund.

Carlo had served Kent for twenty years and taught Daniel weapons discipline. His betrayal felt less like an external attack than the return of everything Kent once rewarded.

Fay refused to hide the pregnancy. Instead, she recorded a public statement declaring that her child would inherit no criminal title, territory, or obligation.

Kent appeared beside her and formally renounced hereditary succession. Daniel joined with Colin, making clear that the Lippert bloodline itself rejected the organization.

The statement deprived Carlo of symbolic legitimacy but made the family a visible target. Independent security expanded around the clinic and both parents’ homes.

Carlo responded with a list of former employees whose pensions would disappear if Kent did not restore the organization. The threat used innocent families as shields.

Kent offered his remaining personal assets to guarantee every pension. Fay supported the choice after auditors ensured restitution obligations remained funded.

With leverage removed, several loyalists surrendered. They provided the location of Carlo’s final safe house and described explosives stored beneath the old Lippert estate.

The estate was now empty but still contained archives awaiting transfer. Carlo intended to destroy the records and blame Kent for concealing evidence.

State police reached the grounds while Carlo streamed a farewell message. He called Kent a fallen king and promised fire would preserve the family’s honor.

Kent supplied the original evacuation tunnels, allowing officers to disarm charges from below. Carlo was arrested before activating the final detonator.

Inside his coat, investigators found a hospital access badge bearing Fay’s due date and the name of the maternity nurse assigned to her delivery.
