Claimed by the Alpha I Hate – Episode 48
Daisy’s grandfather recovered in the mansion under guard. His capture ended every argument about whether the vampire threat could reach ordinary pack members.
The council gathered before dawn. Marcus demanded war, while others proposed surrendering Daisy to prevent further attacks.
Daisy listened until the room began discussing her as though she were absent. Then she stood.
“Klaudius will not stop if I surrender. Vera’s journal says he wants my power to rebuild vampire rule.”
Nolan placed the journal on the council table. Evidence replaced rumor, forcing the elders to confront a threat larger than one hybrid mate.
Scott’s involvement angered Eastwind representatives. Their former Alpha had returned not to rescue them, but to deliver their territory to vampires.
Mila performed outrage more loudly than anyone. Daisy watched her heartbeat accelerate whenever Scott’s name was mentioned.
Elias presented the copied vault key recovered from the messenger. Tool marks matched a key found among Mila’s belongings.
The room turned toward her. Mila claimed the evidence had been planted.
“By whom?” Daisy asked. “The same person who knew my grandfather’s route?”
Mila attempted to flee. Guards blocked the doors.
Nolan ordered her detained for questioning, not executed. He needed the route to Lucien more than immediate punishment.
As guards took her, Mila shouted that Daisy had stolen every future meant for her. The confession revealed motive even if it did not explain every act.
Daisy felt no victory. Mila’s betrayal had nearly killed the only family she had left.
Under questioning, Mila admitted meeting Lucien but denied knowing Klaudius’s full plan. She revealed Scott’s temporary camp near the northern quarry.
Nolan prepared an assault. Daisy insisted the camp might contain information about Klaudius’s stronghold and her mother’s killer.
“You are not bait,” Nolan said.
“Then stop planning as if protecting me is the only objective.” Daisy pointed to the map. “We protect Eastwind by ending the threat.”
Nolan saw the Luna the council feared—not a title-seeker, but someone willing to stand between the pack and danger.
He gave Daisy command of the team responsible for securing the camp’s records. This time, he did not merely allow her into the plan. He trusted her with part of it.
