Found A Homeless Billionaire Husband for Christmas – Episode 11

Simon’s punch struck Carl across the face. The challenge at the counter ended in a sharp burst of movement, leaving Victoria looking at a confrontation that had become physical before anyone could stop it.

Blood ran from Carl’s nose. Shock displaced his smugness, then anger rushed in to replace it. He had demanded an answer from Simon and clearly had not expected this one.

The check-in counter no longer felt like an ordinary place to start a trip. Other people’s attention was on them. Victoria stayed beside Simon as Carl searched for someone who would enforce his version of what had happened.

“Hey, lady. Are you blind?” He turned on an airline employee. Even asking for help, he sounded accusatory, as though the staff had already failed by not anticipating his demands.

“I’m being attacked. Call security.” His injury was plain, and he pointed to it as if it settled every question. Victoria had seen the blow too. She had also heard what came before it.

Security entered the confrontation. Carl immediately directed their attention toward Simon, identifying him as the man responsible. “Him. He attacked me.”

He did not mention the insults to Victoria. He did not repeat the challenge he had made. The story he wanted investigated began with the punch and left everything else outside it.

“Throw him out of the airport.” The demand was immediate. Carl seemed to assume that a complaint from him would become an instruction for everyone around him.

He wanted Simon banned from Jones Airlines as well. It was not enough to have security intervene now; he wanted to decide what would happen on every future occasion too.

“I’m a VIP customer.” He offered the status like a credential that should remove the need for any more discussion. Victoria had heard the same certainty when he insisted on being checked in first.

“I demand you do as I say.” The insistence kept rising. He was no longer describing an incident but ordering a result, confident that the distinction would mean something to the people in uniform.

The answer came in an even, professional voice. “Sir, you’ve been disrupting airport operations.” It was not the response his expression suggested he had been waiting to hear.

“We need to kindly ask you to leave.” For a moment, Carl seemed unable to connect the instruction to himself. His gaze moved as though someone else must be its intended recipient.

There was a brief, unfinished form of address nearby, cut off before it became an explanation. Victoria could make nothing useful of it. The officials returned to the problem in front of them.

The instruction was repeated. The disruption had to end, and the man causing it needed to leave. The staff’s calm made Carl’s indignation look increasingly isolated.

Victoria looked from him to the people handling the encounter. He had invoked his importance so confidently. Now it was doing nothing to obtain the obedience he expected.

“What?” His disbelief carried across the counter. He still had the evidence of Simon’s punch on his face, but the demand for removal was being directed toward him.

Simon remained beside Victoria. Carl stood facing the consequence he had wanted imposed on someone else, unable to accept that his claim to special treatment had failed.
