Reborn to Love Mr. Right – Episode 72

The leaked photograph appeared on financial networks before Taylor counsel could respond. Commentators ignored the empty wheelchair and focused on the copper receiver, calling it a resurrection machine worth more than either family’s companies.

Government agencies requested immediate access to every continuity site. Private investors offered billions for research rights. Religious groups and frightened families gathered outside the estate with competing demands to destroy or use the technology.

Arianna refused to call the receiver a machine that reversed death. It had transmitted information through circumstances nobody could reproduce safely. Every attempt to control it had produced surveillance, coercion, and violence.

Donald issued a statement confirming an experimental data system existed but denying commercial capability. He promised independent review while protecting private records belonging to victims.

The leak included one page from Arianna’s mother’s notebook. Only people present during the court-supervised core opening had seen it. Investigators narrowed the source to six officials and two scientific advisers.

Hayden’s father discovered a Scott director had photographed the page before surrendering his phone. The director claimed national security required disclosure because foreign companies might possess similar systems.

The argument echoed Victor’s belief that knowledge justified ownership. Hayden suspended the director and submitted the breach to authorities rather than letting Scott Global investigate itself.

Congressional investigators issued subpoenas for the research. Arianna agreed to provide technical records stripped of personal memories. She would not surrender photographs, therapy files, or neural patterns stolen from students and families.

One committee threatened contempt if Taylor Industries withheld anything. Donald prepared for court, knowing resistance could cost contracts and public trust. Arianna supported disclosure limits even when they harmed the company.

Ivy released a statement as a former archive witness. She described how future files saved lives while private data became weapons. Her testimony shifted part of the debate from scientific wonder to consent.

Emmy organized scholarship students against publication of their leaked profiles. They demanded the same privacy protection wealthy victims received. Arianna invited them to appoint counsel independent of the Taylor Foundation.

A consortium offered to fund every scholarship if Arianna licensed the predictive research. The proposal would repair financial damage from the breach while recreating the system under a cleaner name.

She rejected it publicly. Students were not a price for purchasing their own surveillance. The foundation would reduce expansion before accepting money tied to continuity experiments.

The unknown consortium responded by releasing another image: older Donald standing beside Victor at the first receiver. It suggested the two men built the signal together.

Donald remembered no such partnership, but the photograph might come from the erased branch. Arianna refused to defend him by declaring every uncomfortable image false.

Forensic analysis showed Victor’s figure had been added from a different frame. The copper reflections bent incorrectly around his body. Someone was manufacturing continuity evidence from leaked originals.

Investigators traced distribution to a media company owned through one of Leonard Graves’s former offshore accounts. Although Leonard was imprisoned, the account had changed hands before his arrest.

The purchaser called itself First Light Holdings. Its registration date preceded Arianna’s rebirth by fifteen years, and its original director was Jeff Davis.

Jeff claimed Victor used his name without permission. Records showed annual payments entering an account that funded Derek’s childhood tuition. His family had benefited from the research network long before Arianna paid Derek’s school expenses.

When confronted in prison, Jeff finally admitted he had received a copy of the first signal. Its message warned him that his son would destroy the Taylor family, and he had hidden it because he believed Derek deserved the future it described.
