Claimed by the Alpha I Hate – Episode 70
Nolan called both packs to the Winter Solstice platform where Scott had once accepted the Alpha title. The same place that marked Daisy’s humiliation now held an entirely different crowd.
He announced the repeal of rules excluding people solely because of bloodline, delayed shifting, or lack of a wolf. Harmful actions would be punished; existence would not.
Murmurs moved through Blackwood elders. Nolan allowed disagreement but not cruelty disguised as tradition.
Daisy stood among the pack rather than on the platform. She wanted the changes accepted for their justice, not because she occupied a privileged place.
Nolan publicly accepted responsibility for governing through excessive control after the takeover. Curfews and restrictions would be reviewed by a mixed council.
His admission surprised those who expected an Alpha never to acknowledge error. Authority did not diminish when it accepted accountability.
Daisy’s grandfather watched with quiet pride. The girl who arrived at his cabin believing she had abandoned everything now helped rebuild what others deserted.
When the new laws were accepted, Nolan called Daisy forward. She climbed the steps without lowering her eyes.
“Blackwood recognizes Daisy Storm as my mate,” he said. “But recognition does not decide her role.”
He offered her the position of Luna, not as a reward for blood or bond, but as an invitation to share leadership.
Daisy looked at the faces below. Some welcomed her, some remained uncertain, and a few still resisted.
“I won’t be a Luna who stands beside an Alpha and smiles while people are harmed,” she said.
Nolan answered, “Then don’t.”
She demanded authority over protections for vulnerable pack members and an equal voice in dealings with vampires.
The council waited for Nolan to negotiate. He accepted every condition.
“Then I choose to stand with you,” Daisy said. The word choose carried farther than any ceremonial title.
The pack bowed—not to a wolfless embarrassment or a vampire heir, but to the woman who had defended both species from forced rule.
Daisy remembered Mila ordering her to howl while cameras captured her shame. She no longer needed to imitate anyone’s idea of a real wolf.
Nolan offered his hand. Daisy took it and stood beside him, neither behind nor below.
The platform that once ended her first bond became the place where she accepted a future built on consent.
