My Alpha Boss Gave Me Triplets – Episode 64

Darleen’s collapse interrupted the exile vote but did not erase it. Neutral doctors examined her inside the council chamber and found a genuine cardiac rhythm disturbance left by the ritual backlash.

Her attorneys demanded postponement until she could participate. Evie supported medical stabilization, then asked whether the rules actually required a conscious defendant for a disciplinary vote based on recorded evidence.

They did not. The council had delayed similar cases only as tradition, often to accommodate powerful families.

Doctors transferred Darleen to a secure treatment room. Proceedings resumed with an empty chair representing her, a visual reminder that illness could justify care without becoming immunity.

Alpha Blackhart appeared remotely after losing emergency command. He asked the council to spare his daughter from exile because separation from ancestral territory would weaken her magic and possibly shorten her life.

Joel testified that the same consequence had made exile an effective protection in earlier Blackhart cases. Darleen’s access to family wards enabled her attacks. Removing it reduced her ability to reach victims.

The council considered permanent confinement instead. Human prosecutors objected that pack detention could not replace criminal proceedings already underway.

A joint order took shape: Darleen would remain in human custody through trial and sentence, then face exile from Blackhart and Stonehearth territories for life.

Exile would not mean abandonment without medical care. Neutral facilities could treat her, but no pack could restore ritual access or political title.

Evie approved of the distinction. ā€œTaking away her power is not the same as taking away her humanity.ā€

The final votes were counted. The supermajority passed by one stone, including votes from two Blackhart delegates.

Darleen woke to hear the ruling read beside her hospital bed. For the first time, she showed no performance of confusion or superiority.

She asked whether Leopold voted. As the harmed Alpha, he had recused himself to prevent the judgment from becoming personal revenge.

ā€œThen Evie took everything,ā€ Darleen whispered.

The councilor corrected her. ā€œYour choices did.ā€

Public notice of exile dissolved Darleen’s claim to become any pack’s Luna. Wards once keyed to her blood closed, and Blackhart titles passed to another heir.

Leopold felt the Stonehearth seal crack again. The curse did not vanish, but the pressure around succession lifted.

Evie experienced no triumph. Darleen’s punishment could not return the safe pregnancy, stolen privacy, or people manipulated along the way. It could only limit future harm.

That evening, Lara measured the triplets and announced that the smallest had caught up significantly. Recovery had become visible in growth rather than merely absence of crisis.

Then Evie’s mother called from outside the residence, asking permission to deliver childhood belongings before the babies came. Among them was a sealed adoption record Evie had never known existed.
