Ms. CEO’s Baby Daddy Is the Merchant of Death – Episode 74

One year after Zero Hour, Elias Vale was convicted in an international court. His public trial documented Lighthouse, Black Meridian, Evelyn’s captivity, and the weapons hidden beneath Dominion’s first empire. No legend protected him from an ordinary cell.

Cross and Bennett received additional sentences after Vale’s records confirmed their conspiracies. Lynn was convicted for Evelyn’s abduction and the attacks on Scarlett and Summer. Voss earned a reduced sentence for cooperation but remained imprisoned.

Stephen continued serving his own sentence. He testified without requesting Scarlett’s forgiveness and surrendered the last stolen Hayes assets. She allowed written updates but made no promise of reconciliation.

Danielle completed her testimony and left the Hayes name behind. She entered a restitution program funded by the sale of property obtained through Lynn’s crimes. Accountability became the first life she chose for herself.

Evelyn returned to Asterion as an adviser, not its ruler. She and Scarlett disagreed, apologized, and learned to ask before protecting each other. The missing years remained missing, but they no longer controlled every year ahead.

Richard transformed the Reed Foundation into an independently governed public institution. He surrendered the final family authority over defense technology. Summer still called him Grandpa and continued negotiating for extra dessert.

Dominion closed every autonomous weapons division. Under civilian oversight, its engineers built rescue aircraft, protective systems, and disaster-response tools. All strategic decisions required independent approval.

Connor resigned as permanent commander. He accepted a limited advisory role with no unilateral authority and continued meeting every condition of the tribunal. The title Merchant of Death became history rather than identity.

Asterion administered Constellation and Dawn through an international public trust. Scarlett refused exclusive patents and ensured no bloodline could inherit control. Summer would receive choices instead of an empire.

On the anniversary of their flash marriage, Connor asked Scarlett to marry him again. This time no DNA report, urgent threat, or frightened child stood between the question and the answer. Scarlett made him wait three seconds before saying yes.

They held the ceremony in a garden overlooking the restored city. Cypher served as Connor’s witness, Lily stood beside Scarlett, and Evelyn walked her daughter forward only after asking permission. Richard cried without pretending the wind caused it.

Summer carried the rings and the repaired watch. Before allowing the ceremony to continue, she demanded that both parents record their promises. The guests waited while she found the correct menu.

Connor promised not to disappear when fear told him leaving was protection. He promised to tell the truth, return when he said he would, and remain Summer’s father on ordinary days as well as dangerous ones.

Scarlett promised not to carry every burden alone. She would ask for help without surrendering her choices and let love become partnership rather than another duty. Summer approved both recordings.

Richard placed the Reed pendant around his granddaughter’s neck. He told her it represented people who loved her, not a company she must inherit or a future she must fulfill. Summer chose to wear it beside the watch.

After the ceremony, Connor revealed the truck restored from his undercover years. Its hidden compartments were gone, and no weapon remained inside. Scarlett inspected it before agreeing to ride.

Evelyn, Richard, Lily, and Cypher watched the family leave for a short trip along Highway 47. The road no longer belonged to Vale, an escape, or a countdown. It belonged to memory without fear.

Summer sat between her parents and asked what Connor did now that he no longer controlled a weapons empire. He considered consultant, mechanic, and husband before selecting the most important answer.

“Full-time dad,” he said. Scarlett laughed and reminded him that the position included school mornings, asthma plans, and bedtime stories. Connor accepted every term without negotiation.

Summer pressed the call button on her watch from the back seat. Connor heard it inches away, looked at her in the mirror, and answered at once. “I’m here, baby. And I’m staying.”
